Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I was born in Romania in the late ’80s, a time when old crafts were still highly appreciated and the concept of fast fashion didn’t exist, and would probably be criticized today.
I was brought up in a family with strong values instilled by independent, beautiful women who never stopped fascinating me with their class and style. Instinctively, I passed those traits onto my work, by creating designs that reveal a woman’s beauty and self-confidence.
I was still a little girl when I fell madly in love with silk and lace, and I remember feeling this uncontrollable need to touch every beautiful fabric I would come across. That, to me, was pure bliss. My favorite games were sneaking into my grandma’s room only to use her sturdy, loud, vintage sewing machine, or exploring through my mother’s closet, in search for new materials for my dolls’ fancy wardrobe.
I taught myself how to hand sew when I was 8 years old and started pouring out my inspiration onto fabric, way before I bought my first sewing machine. I was mixing colors, fabrics, altering vintage pieces and recycling fabrics, and every garment I made, was a one-of-a-kind and hand-made to the last detail.
Moving to Miami in my early 20’s, opened up an entire world of inspiration and possibilities. The glam and lifestyle of the city matched perfectly with my vision of enchanting the modern woman with a sense of taste and class that seemed to be long forgotten.
Later on, I decided to bring my passion and creativity into the bridal world and started creating couture wedding dresses. Beautifully crafted, my gowns offer a twist on the traditional designs you have been accustomed to, adding a hint of boldness, while maintaining the specific grace and poise that represents my style.
